“She stood in the storm, and when the wind did not blow her away, she adjusted her sail”  – This quote seems to have  stuck with me all throughout my life and has taken me to where I am today.

Born and brought up in Delhi, Arpana Jain was the eldest of 8 children and believes that’s where she gets her leadership skills from. After completing her course in Interior Design and getting married, she felt the need to do something for the community, especially for women. She felt that there was a need for a platform where they can come together and support each other. Her exposure to this started off while working with the Rotary Club and Lions Club, Delhi. She’s a strong supporter of Make in India and Skill India Movement.

Women empowerment has been at the core and she believes that empowered women have the power to change the world, but first they have to change themselves. “Stree shakti” has been her undercurrent and has led her to found Wonder Women Connect, a business networking group which has over 3900 members. It works with the focus to encourage and empower budding women entrepreneurs. The platform organizes various business networking events and helps like minded women to get together and provide opportunities to work together. She is also the director of Magneto Environmental Group and has been at the forefront of their young initiative Dr Air, which focuses on “air quality”.

Despite all her successful endeavours, she is still a committed mother who takes pride in seeing her children grow up to being respectful, successful citizens.

She has received the Women’s Leader award from the All Ladies Group, Women’s Leader Sarojini Naidu award, the SUCH Vibgyor Connecting Humanities award and has been felicitated by Mahila Ratan for the same.
