What sparked your interest in fashion?

Since I was 15, I had this dream to dress up women and I used to design for my family and friends. My flare to turn my mom’s sarees into outfits for myself was the start of my designing career. I  was always appreciated for my color coordination and styling and that’s how I pursued a professional degree in fashion designing.

What are the key elements for you when designing a collection for each season?

The key elements I focus on every time I design are the wearability of the outfit, the cut and the silhouette of the design which will make it stand out and most importantly the quality.

What challenges did you face when launching your brand?

The challenges we faced were getting the best quality and design in affordable prices. We are still struggling on that as the market is totally spoiled by the importers of cheap outfits from Asian countries.

What are your plans for the future?

I want my brand’s presence globally as well as all over India. Also I want fashion to be accessible to all in affordable prices, international quality and  latest trends.

I feel success is directly related to hard work and your belief in your self and your work. Just be true to your work and give your 100% in whatever you do.

Lookbook for Ritu Rawat

Ritu is our youngest trendsetter so far and our stylist Godawari has created ultra stylish looks keeping in mind Ritu’s style, personality and lifestyle. The looks have been created keeping in mind the different kinds of occasions Ritu would be a part of in her daily life.

Lookbook 1

  • The key to pulling off any look is learning how to balance the entire outfit (apart from wearing it with confidence, of course). As the dress has a lot of interesting details, balance the rest of the outfit with smaller pieces.
  • To elevate the look, pair this calf length dress with heels and accent the dress with subtle makeup, opt for either a bold lip or bold eyes.

Lookbook 2

  • Add a sense of personality to a tonal, pastel look by using colourful accents.
  • Balance the girly peplum top with boyfriend jeans and a large handbag.

Lookbook 3

  • A monochromatic look is the easiest way to convert any look from a day time casual look to a night time party look.
  • Graphic stripes are very in this season so pair it with your old black sweater and team it up with chunky jewelry.

#dressire style tips – Stay in with the off shoulder trend this Spring Season by wearing a white dress that shows off your girliness. Pair it with nude and brown accessories to balance it out. Spring does not always mean you have to go over board with florals, try a minimal approach this year.
