On the launch of her first international intellectual property event, Liza Varma said: “My vision and mission of life is to promote Indian fashion, talent and lifestyle to the global market, I see huge potential in the next generation talent, but having worked in the industry for more than 30 years in the lifestyle event space promoting the same, I see no organised direction to help the talent to reach overseas market, hence we are starting with JASHN at Toronto being a very lucrative market on a fashion week module, focussing on the B2B trend, so we are concentrating on the young generation brides and grooms to create a sensation with the celebrity designers. Having worked for over 40 fashion weeks overseas including Vancouver over the last two years I realised Canada is definitely the first location we should aim at, my Canadian partners who approached me to concept the event are very strong and influential Indians living in Toronto for more than two decades and are from the hospitality and marketing background, so I feel extremely confident with support from Indian fashion fraternity who are present here that we would create an iconic episode ahead.”
